So You Forgot Valentine's Day...
First things first - don't panic! If you have forgotten Valentine's Day entirely until this exact moment, or you thought it wasn't a big deal and you didn't need to procure any gifts but are having sudden second thoughts about that, fear not. We live in a 24/7 society and you can solve this problem quickly before your partner becomes the wiser and your relationship status is suddenly shifted to "It's Complicated." (Does anyone even remember that Facebook feature? Am I showing my age? Does it even still exist?). Some fast ideas below.
Donate
Giving money to charity might not be everyone's first thought on Valentine's Day, but for some of us, this is a kind and worthy gesture. Donate recycled flowers to flowers to the sick, meals to the elderly, books to children, reproductive health education and supplies to African girls, or aid to homeless youth in order to spread the love a little more globally. We are donating to two local organizations: East Los Angeles Women's Center and L.A. Kitchen.
Make
Bake something. Just do it. Everyone loves it. You can grab ingredients at your grocery store, enjoy the process together, lick the bowl together (not a euphemism, but I vote we make it one) and enjoy the finished product all in one evening.

Order
Sometimes the gift is so good that it doesn't even need to arrive on time. Invest some money in a gift that will make your partner's life easier and more pleasurable over the long term.
Plan
A trip away! Nobody doesn't love a break from the daily grind. Andy had the smart idea to whisk me away to Santa Barbara for a day this President's Day weekend, and I couldn't be more excited.
